OH GOOD! That got your attention.
Today to celebrate my birthday I went to see “Seminar” on broadway with my Mom. Alan Rickman was amazing, go figure, and so so funny. The whole cast, Lily Rabe, Hamish Linklater, Jerry O’Connell, and Hettienne Park were all really awesome. (I got Hamish’s autograph afterwards too.)
It was very humorous, sexy and provocative. There was brief nudity, (30 seconds of boobs), and a LOT of sexual dialogue. But it was okay because a lot of that dialogue was either said by Alan Rickman or referenced to him. Needless to say, I was jealous when Lily got to make out with him towards the end of the show.
When the show ended everyone kinda got up quick and left, but my Mom and I noticed that there was one person left on our mezzanine a few rows up. Sitting cross legged in his seat with a pen in hand and a notebook on his lap, was Jeff Goldblum. I went up and talked to him for a few minutes about the show, how he was going to be taking Alan Rickman’s place, Tim & Eric and what our “story” was. Jeff was so chill and nice, he told us he’d have us backstage when we go to see him in April. I even got a 4 second video with him, thanks Mom :P
However, like any good day I ever seem to have it somehow gets ruined. We went back to Fairfield and went to dinner. My brother invited himself - okay, fine. I told him about my day and everything was fine, until he decides to bring up something that should NOT be brought up at a birthday dinner. Anyways, I start crying, my face turns red from trying to hold it in, I’m tearing profusely. It was just really bad. Sweet, Dave.
So now I’m home and trying to not think about it. I didn’t want it, her, to ruin my night and all the fun I had with my Mom today. I love my Mom and feel like such an asshole for crying in the restaurant but I don’t know why I just couldn’t help it. It wouldn’t stop.
I just hope tomorrow, my actual birthday, doesn’t get thrown off like tonight. I just want everything to go how I want it and to go smoothly, for once.
Oh by the way, my birthday is tomorrow.
Thanks, that is all. Thanks for listening/reading/skimming/reading my title.
